Nick Anderson is optimistic
Those branches that were cut off are significant, I think. It may be necessary to cut off a few more, but let's hope that the tree itself will remain sound and continue to grow.
This post just showed up in my reading list, about a week late. Like all empires and dominant cultures decay must come and I have no doubt that this is happening in America. The glory days are done and gone forever. The trust and respect of the world has been lost and wariness in dealing with the USA will be the hallmark of the future. It already is here in Canada.
It's good to see some optimism though it must be hard to find any at present.
