I purchased a couple of her Vera books just yesterday because I find her style so readable. A nice fit for me. I'm going to get to this one at some point, but I'll probably be on hold at the library for a while because Cleeves is much more popular nowadays than I ever imagined. Oh, and like you, Jen Rafferty is definitely my favorite character in the Venn series after just the one book that I've read so far.Sam https://www.blogger.com/profile/17448913705757509608noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3560838335414244511.post-90575380575342186142021-10-13T09:44:35.354-05:002021-10-13T09:44:35.354-05:00I've never read a Cleeves book that was not in...I've never read a Cleeves book that was not interesting. Perhaps that will be a prompt for more character development. Vera is definitely my favorite of Cleeves' series. I was hoping for more featuring her but maybe that's not going to happen now that the writer is concentrating on this series.Dorothy Bordershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12441731296027227394noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3560838335414244511.post-18723318623869759512021-10-12T19:05:36.943-05:002021-10-12T19:05:36.943-05:00I liked the way Jonathan is trying to get Matthew ...I liked the way Jonathan is trying to get Matthew and his mother back together again.
